I'm taking Canteen's Five Peaks Virtual Challenge...

In 2023, my teenage son, Hunter, was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme, grade 4 Brain cancer. Throughout our journey, Canteen was there for not only Hunter, but our entire family. From social events to mental health support. 

Sadly, Hunter passed away in July 2024 but Canteen has still been there to support our family through his loss and navigating life without him in it. This is my reason for doing this challenge, in Hunters honour, but also, so families who also have to navigate a cancer journey can have the support needed and provided by canteen 

a month-long challenge to cover 68km in March - the combined trail distance of Australia’s five highest peaks.

Every year, 23,000 young Australians face the mountain that is a cancer journey. Whether facing their own cancer diagnosis, or dealing with a loved one’s cancer journey, climbing that peak means feeling isolated, lost, exhausted, and confused.

It’s terrifying, and no one should face it alone. That’s why I’m challenging myself and I need your support!
